Owing to its unique climate and geography, Patagonia is home to a variety of fauna and flora found few other places in the world. These photos show this variety.
My favorite "trophies" are the photos of the high-flying "Andean Condor" and the elusive "Austral Pygmy Owls".
Many of these photos were taken at "Laguna Nimez", a nature preserve in the town of El Calafate. Other examples of Patagonian flora and fauna are scattered throughout the various Galleries in this grouping.
