The Biltmore Estate is a French Renaissance-style mansion built by George Vanderbilt II between 1889 and 1895. It is the largest privately-owned home in the US, at an area 175,000 sq ft, with more than 250 rooms. Still owned and occupied by one of Vanderbilt's descendants, the estate covers approximately 8,000 acres which encompass the mansion, gardens and conservatory, a winery, a hotel, a farm and stable, and a replica of a 19th century village.
This Gallery shows the Biltmore Estate during Spring of 2010.
