Carl Milles (1875-1955) is Sweden's most famous sculptor. His works can be found all over Sweden and the US (Miles became an American citizen in 1945), and in many other parts world. His major works can be seen at Millesgården, his home and studio, now a wonderful museum in Lindigö, one of the northern islands in Stockholm.
These photos were taken under difficult conditions on an overcast, rainy day. Nevertheless the beauty and originality of Milles' work shines through.
